DAVID BENDEL 80th BIRTHDAY TESTIMONIAL - 24TH FEBRUARY 2008
Almost 200 family, friends and dignitaries gathered together to celebrate
MDA Victoria Co-President David Benedel's 80th birthday and to pay tribute
to his many years of service to Magen David Adom and to the people of Israel.
The event, MC'ed by media personality Bruce Mansfield, featured special tributes
to David by Eli Bin, MDA Israel Director-General, and Alon Fridman, MDA Israel
Deputy Director-General - both of whom travelled to Australia specifically to
attend the celebrations.

MDA VICTORIA LEADERS & PROFESSIONALS BREAKFAST - 25th FEB 2008
MDA Victoria hosted a gathering of Jewish Community leaders and professionals
at which Eli Bin, MDA Israel Director-General, and Alon Fridman, MDA Israel
Deputy Director-General, both spoke about the pressures MDA confronts daily
in Israel. They also screened an extremely moving DVD of MDA's involvement
in the second Lebanese war.

MDA AT "CHANUKAH IN THE PARK" - 9th DECEMBER 2007
Some of our younger volunteers ran an MDA Victoria stall at this
year's "Chanukah in the Park" to make our presence felt at Caulfield Park.

MDA VICTORIA 61st ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - 26th NOVEMBER 2007
Those at this year's AGM heard MDA Victoria's Vice-President,
Glynis Lipson, present a report on the ground-breaking ceremony
for MDA Australia's current project in Yokneam, northern Israel.
MDA Victoria is a major contributor towards this project.
In addition to MDA Crystal Awards being presented to those who have
made special contribution to MDA, an MDA "Flame of Life" award was
presented to Robyn Levin for her longstanding devotion to MDA.

A special MDA "Flame of Life" was presented posthumously to The Hon.
Walter Jona (z"l), MDA Victoria's Chairman for over 40 years. His lifetime
partner, Alwynne Jona, was present to accept it.
